BioCC researcher Kristiina Kokk will participate in „Healthy animal and healthy food“ conference with poster-presentation “Development of silage additives based on lactic acid bacteria L.brevis TAK 124-1 AerobEst® and L.plantarum TAK 59“. In addition to poster you will find the full-length article describing two new lactic acid bacteria based biological silage additives in abstract book.

 

Bio-Competence Centre of Healthy Dairy Products participated on “Working out ABS: Preparing to Comply with the New EU Rules on Access and Benefit-sharing” in Paris

BioCC researcher Merle Rätsep participated in “ Working out ABS: Preparing to Comply with the New EU Rules on Access and Benefit-sharing“ in Paris. The conference was organized by International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), included interactive panel sessions, roundtable discussions and group exercises on how to implement the new ABS regulation.

The senior researcher of the BioCC, Epp Songisepp patricipated the conference and exhibition The Hi Europe & Ni Official Conference 2014 that took place in Amsterdam at 2- 4 December 2014

The conference addressed the most important issues faced by the Health, Natural and Nutritional industry today. Epp Songisepp made a presentation „Probiotic Cheese Case Study: Practical Advice for Conducting Clinical Trials with Functional Food Products for a Successful EFSA Claim“

In the last few years, the Bio-Competence Centre of Healthy Dairy Products (BioCC), based in Tartu, has discovered and researched previously unknown Lactobacillus strains and made them work for the benefit of consumers. BioCC is the owner of 20 patents, and 11 patent applications are pending in Estonia, Europe, the USA, Russia, Korea and Japan
